From passive waiting time to increased productivity
Collaborative robots have increased the productivity of Elektro-Isola’s CNC work. A UR10e cobot from Universal Robots, a modular table from Technicon and a gripper from Robotiq have especially contributed to a faster process, as the employee now has to spend less time waiting and can spend more time on other value-creating tasks.
Better working environment due to less physical strain
The cobot solution has provided more space to work on, as it saves space
More flexibility in production due to the modular table solution, which is easy to move
A high level of safety for the employee, due to the built-in SICK sensor
By increasing the automation in production, Elektro-Isola can now produce 480 items in 5 shifts, where previously it was only possible to produce the same amount in 13 shifts. This has allowed the operators to handle other tasks instead of waiting for the individual items to be completed.
